Just who are "we the people" (us all) anyway, and where did we come from?  ...read on...
In 1769 the British Parliment passed the "Declatory act" that bound the American colonists to English culture and their laws.  At that time, England and all of Europe was a sea of human slaves lorded over by a "divine rights" aristocracy headed by totalitarian monarchies, or dictators.  English and European culture divided all of humanity into two groups, the "master race" (the aristocracy) and the "servant race" (everybody else) known as
serfs, peasants, peons, commoners, all synonyms for slaves and with the same legal status as livestock.  "Government" was a private profit making business run by a single man at each level, the King over the nation, a "Count" over each county, and a ""Lord" or "Baron" over each business ("small" government indeed, was it not?).  All had the power of unrestricted dictatorship over all in his realm.  The slaves were controlled by enforced ignorance, poverty, and terror.  All were what they were by birthright, their power or servitude was  a permanent condition they were born into.

In 1775 the colonies that became the United States of America rebelled against the act and formed a government that was dedicated to the protection of it's citizens from the repressions and tyrannies common to European governments, the first in the world dedicated to the protection instead of repression of the common man.  After the rebellion had prevailed and a constitution written that guaranteed the freedom and civil rights and democracy to the citizens,  George Washington, the leader of the rebellion and first president of the new nation, created the political party that today is known as the
Democratic Party, dedicated to protecting and expanding the political, social, and economic freedoms, rights, and justice that had been wrested from the English monarch  The opponents of government protection for these new rights created a political party that we now call the Republican Party that to this day that strives to reinstall the repressions of the old European culture into our society.
